Information and Resources
Regarding COVID-19
We ask the following of patients:
-
Allow 48 hours for medication refills to be processed after your appointment. Call the clinic if your current appointment does not meet this criteria.
-
Read and observe Health Advisories from DHSS and the Governor’s Office. Click here.
-
Know your category of risk for COVID-19 and take action accordingly. Click here.
-
Please minimize travel companions and ask them to wait in the car. Patients will be allowed one guest to accompany them to their appointment.
-
Children, unless patients themselves, will not be admitted to the clinic; children are susceptible to COVID-19 but tend to show mild/no symptoms and it is difficult for active healthy children to refrain from exploring and touching surfaces in a stimulating environment.
-
Please note that patients will be screened at the reception check-in and check-out windows of the clinic for symptoms consistent with COVID-19, for contact with known cases of COVID-19, and for relevant travel history.
-
Patients will be required to wear a mask covering their mouth and nose
-
MASKS WITH VALVES ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE-- if you have COVID then you can spread the virus through the valve.
We advise the following:
-
Patients with an intrathecal pain pump should avoid air travel at this time due to the difficulty of refilling pump medication if a patient is stranded without logistical support.
-
If possible, visits will be moved to virtual space (Telemedicine or Telehealth) or rescheduled if any of the following apply:
-
If the patient falls into a high risk category for COVID-19 due to age or underlying medical condition
-
If the patient or anyone in their household feels ill with symptoms consistent with COVID-19
-
If the patient or anyone in their household has had contact with anyone known or suspected to have COVID-19
-
Please note that we do not have COVID-19 test kits.
