Are you scheduled for a telehealth appointment?
We have implemented telehealth visits during COVID. It is at our providers' discretion whether or not you are scheduled for a telehealth appointment. If your insurance does not cover telehealth services, you will be scheduled for an in-person appointment.
We recently have switched over to Doximity since mid-April 2021. We will no longer be utilizing Facetime, Google Duo or Zoom. As long as you have a smart phone or smart device (if linked to text messaging), Android or Apple, the program should be compatible*. No need to download an app! However you will need an internet connection.
Doximity is HIPAA secure.
At the start of your visit, your provider will send you a text requesting you to join a secure video call.
You should see a link and the provider's name.
Open the link.
Your camera and microphone will turn on. A video of the camera view of you will populate in the upper right hand corner.
Select Join Video Call.
The browser on your device will then open.
You will need to allow camera and microphone access to your device.
Select Allow Camera & Mic Access
An alert has now been sent to your provider to join the meeting.
Please allow 10 minutes from your appointment start time for the provider to join the call.
Your device may have an additional prompt to confirm access to your microphone and camera.
Your provider will then join the meeting and you should be able to see them on your screen too!
After your visit, call the office to schedule your follow-up appointment: (907) 339-4650, option 1
