Our summer has begun and with COVID restrictions eased, so has our tourist season! Not only do non-residents want to explore our state, locals do, too! If you require Medicaid Travel for air or lodging, it is pertinent that you schedule your appointments following your initial visit or recurring visits as soon as possible AND to request travel vouchers at the time of scheduling. Air travel and hotel accommodations have limited capacity. Waiting last minute to schedule your appointment, request travel vouchers, etc. will result in not being able to travel and/or without having a place to stay. It is patient responsibility to book travel and lodging. You can request Medicaid vouchers by phone or sending us a request form – follow-up to ensure that it has been received. It is always best practice to request travel vouchers when you schedule your appointment regardless of traveling by air or vehicle. This ensures that our staff can get travel vouchers in a timely manner to you and resolve any issues that may arise between the time of your request and upcoming scheduled appointment.
You are your best healthcare advocate!
